aiCARE A virtual therapeutic agent
based on artificial intelligence
for addressing anxiety and depression
in young adult cancer survivors

The main objective of the aiCARE project is to develop a conversation based agent for anxiety and depression. The main beneficiaries of this project are adult cancer survivors, while the secondary beneficiaries are adults from the general population or at risk for psychopathology

The aiCARE agent will be the result of four main objectives progressing - through 24 months - from a network analysis to map cognitions and symptom prevalence in young adult cancer survivors (O1), to the development of the aiCARE conversational agent (O2), to its user-experience testing (O3) and effectiveness testing (O4). The aiCARE agent will progress gradually throughout the project from a retrieval-based agent relying on a predefined conversation flow initially generated by therapists to a generative agent which is guaranteed to always provide a response.
